General Program Outline

Our school's new curriculum will be following the Ontario Ministry
of Education and Training for the Kindergarten to Grade 2 level.
This curriculum is designed for children who are between 2 ½ and
6 years old. Our goal is to have your children at the grade 2 level
knowledge and skills before they are 6 years old. Therefore,
when they are ready to enter the public school system (grade 1),
they will be ahead of their peers academically.

Our toddler's program for 18 months to 34 months old is well
balanced with educational instruction in the areas of music, art,
dance, singing, language development, movement, sensory and
outdoor activities.

Centrepointe Artistic Preschool & Kindergarten is an art based
school. We have a wide spectrum of arts related classes that will
enrich our student's experiences. We feel that art is so vital to
child development, in terms of communication, personality and
balanced growth. The traditional formal education focuses so
much on academics that the creative side is suppressed.
Centrepointe Artistic Preschool & Kindergarten's environment
allows your child to explore that creative side. This exploration
leads our students to success in other subject areas such as
mathematics, language, science and social studies.

We are constantly developing other new innovative programs
which will be integrated into our curriculum.

Our Kindergarten to Grade 2 level curriculum contains five areas:

1) Language (English and French)
2) Mathematics
3) Science and Computer Technology
4) Personal and Social Development
5) The Arts
- Visual Arts                       - Choir (English and French)
- Ballet                                 - Jazz and Hip-Hop Dance
- Martial Arts                      - Drama
- Physical Education          - Music (Piano, Recorder,Guitar,Accordion)
